Tattooing has been practiced for centuries now in diverse cultures around our World. Its a deep (literally) form of Art. It is expression, imagination, creativity, beliefs and really.. it could be anything. It takes the permanent form of your visions, ideas or maybe even a passing thought.

I personally am very drawn to tattoos. I find them.. special. I love how it is a very individualistic matter and I love how ancient it is. There’s no right or wrong when it comes to getting a tattoo. It is what it is and it’s an ultimate personal choice.

Somehow I find myself feeling this sense of peacefulness when I think about getting a new tattoo. I don’t know if that is just plain weird considering the pain that comes with the process of getting one but yeah. And oddly, I tend to forget about the physical pain till Im actually in the tattoo studio. Speaking of which, that is a question that always rummages around the mind of someone whose intending to get a tattoo. “Does it hurt a lot?” “Is the pain bearable?” The degree of pain that you feel varies quite a bit at different regions of your body and it also really depends on you as an individual. You may not feel as much pain as I may, at a particular region. Having said that, I have thus far found the pain to be quite bearable except for the recent ones that I got on the sides of my hands. Those.. were bad. Particularly the right hand. I guess the left half of my body is more pain-resistant. Hmmm.. ; p

Anyhoo! I was just laying on my bed day dreaming about tattoos and next thing I knew, I was writing this. Just thought I’d share with you guys. : ) I got 3 new tattoos on the 21 of December last year. Inked ‘Dreams’ on the side of my left hand, ‘Love’ on the side of my right hand and Sanskrit musical notes on my right lower arm.

The very first tattoo I ever got was a heart with a banner that read ‘Mom’, when I was 16 and that’s kinda at the back of my right shoulder. Each one of my tattoos are extremely and equally special to me and they each hold their own story and meaning.

Briefly put..

“Mom” – This needs no explanation.

“Dreams” – What I believe in and what fuels me.

“Love” – Inked with someone special at heart.

Sanskrit music notes – Music. One with my spirit.

He was such a genuine soul and conversed with us straight from the heart. We shared with him bits and pieces of the struggles we had gone through over the past few years and he shared with us some eye opening experiences as well.

Having said that, we cant deny that fact that sometimes, talking about such things can instantly dampen your mood. You find yourself feeling the exact same way you did when that situation happened.

Wrapped up our meeting and we headed off just quietly thinking through in our heads about everything we had just spoken about. We gotta admit, we were feeling pretty blue at that point of time! Hopped onto the bus and just before the bus door closed, we noticed a group of 5 kids waving away! They were squealing and had million dollar smiles on their faces! We were wishing we could have gotten off the bus and given them each a huge hug but sadly, the bus was already beginning to move. But that moment right there? THAT, was truly priceless.

It’s these little heartwarming things that remind us day to day why we do what we do. The little things – it’s what makes life worth living.

We realized there were quite a few changes that we wanted to make, most of which was to do with the mix stages. So guess what. It’s time to hit the Studios once again. This time, with our binoculars facing particularly the Mix room! We’re really looking forward to ensuring that all the tracks in the Promo Album get the mix that we’re both envisioning for. There’s quite a bit of re-recordings to do as well! Keeping our minds set on the results we want to reap!

Looks like the schedule is going to have quite a major switch up as we’re planning to focus on getting this done over the next month or so. There’s so much we want to do in this Journey and we really cannot wait for it all to unfold, one step at a time.

For us, it’s Music – the Arts. We decided to follow our hearts and take a step into this field. We sometimes have to pinch ourselves to keep ourselves in check that this IS reality and not a dream. When we fall in love with someone, many times we come face to face with questions and doubts. What we fail to realize is that the amount of effort we put into these worries and doubts can cast a shadow over the relationship. Just imagine how much happier you and your significant other could be if you spent all that effort simply doing things to keep the happiness and spirit alive. Now imagine your significant other to be your Passion. Everyone has a choice. Invest your time into what you truly believe in, what your heart calls out to. Just how rooted is the person or thing that you love, in your heart?

Being in Kuala Lumpur these few days have been great. Really. Well, apart from the fact that whenever we return to our Hotel, it’s always too late and the restaurant?.. CLOSED! And we find ourselves aimlessly walking around the nearby streets in search of some nice 24/7 eating spots. (Guess this is the part where we insert a 9GAG face and some background music.)

Sure these are moments that make trips much more memorable but beyond that, it feels like there’s a deeper reason as to why we’re here on this trip. These few days in Kuala Lumpur are giving us time to sit down and really reflect over everything. It’s giving us a chance to fall in love with Music all over again. A chance to inspire ourselves again..

We’re humans. We feel, express, love, despise, yearn, have our downfalls and moments where we feel like we’re on top of the world. This is life. Lets take all that we got? And make the most out of it.
